we've all shared a cause we never read about. sent a birthday message we didn't write. given a toast we'd never said out loud. it was easy. and it showed.
everything is getting easier, and most of that is good news. no one should spend forty minutes on hold to see a doctor. let the machines have that.
but we got carried away. we started deleting everything hard, including the hard parts that meant something.
Bad friction is in the way.
Good friction is the way.
skip bad friction and you still get what you came for. skip good friction and what you came for is gone: reading before you share, writing the toast yourself, thinking before you type.
AI should take all of the bad friction. We're here to protect the good.
because when anything can be made in a second, effort is proof. of knowing. of meaning it. of caring enough to wait. and when everything is easy, the people who can still do hard things will have the edge. that's the frontier.
So we built Callus Labs. We design products that put good friction back, run each one as an experiment, and publish what we find. And have some fun in the process.
